by Perth Truckies Vintage Road Haulage

The answer may be “Who knows!” but here are some classics…

Drivers on long haul trips have a lot of time on their hands and some music is just made for the highway. Enjoy…

AC/DC – It’s a Long Way to the Top (if You Wanna Rock’n’Roll)

The opening song of AC/DC’s second album T.N.T. released in 1975. This album marked the beginning of their famous rocking sound which would shoot them to worldwide fame. It’s definitely good for driving down the highway!

Daddy Cool – Eagle Rock

This blues rock classic came out in 1971 and was number 1 in Australia for ten weeks!

Skyhooks – All My Friends Are Getting Married

Skyhooks were a bit of a glam rock band with all the pizzaz, makeup and costumes but they produced some great tunes for the road. This sends a few people down memory lane

Cold Chisel – Choir Girl

This was released in 1979 and featured on their East album. Cold Chisel were originally from Adelaide but based themselves in Sydney from around 1977 as they grew in popularity.
