New Truck Brake Rules will mean Safer Roads

tire tracksThe Australian government recently announced that Anti-lock Braking Systems (ABS) will be mandatory for all new model trucks as of 1 July 2014 and all new trucks from 1 January 2015.

Many trucks in Australia are already fitted with ABS brakes but this decision will make it mandatory. It is hoped by many in the industry that a similar design rule be passed for heavy vehicle trailers.

Correct driving practices combined with the latest braking systems will reduce accidents on the road.
